| Adiri Bottle |
| This bottle is the closest thing to a breast and a fantastic bottle
for breastfed babies. My nephew was 3 weeks old when he first
used a bottle. Understanding that breastfed babies often take a bit of
time to adjust to bottles, my sister was pleasantly surprised when
her infant "latched" right on to the Adiri bottle.
I was interested in the Adiri bottle for its use in flight. I do
value the importance of breastfeeding, however, I value safety
for infants more. My concern in flight is when a parent removes
an infant from the safety of the car seat to breastfeed
during take off and landing - the most dangerous times of a flight.
Feeding an infant during descent is one way to prevent ear pain
(due to change in pressure). I recommend that parents leave infants
in the safety of the car seat and use a bottle instead. My intent
was to find a bottle that would help parents feed babies who may not
be used to a bottle.
I am very happy with the Adiri bottle. This bottle is a great way for
dads, grandparents, and in my case - aunts, to share and "bond" with
these young infants.
I like the simplicity of this bottle. It has two parts and a cover.
Tip the bottle upside down with the cover on and fill the bottle
through the wide opening. Then screw on the cover and you are ready to feed! They
refer to this as the Fill, Twist and Feed system. The wide opening is especially nice for filling the bottle when traveling - reduces the chances of spilling the milk!
Simple is good and quality features are great.
Less air is ingested with this bottle due to the unique Petal vent system in the
cover. This is really important when flying since all gas expands in flight. This includes gas in little tummies
and can cause babies to scream. So less gas - always appreciated by all!
The bottle easily fits into the JJ Cole
Bottle Case and cleans easily (dishwasher safe).
My sister took frozen breastmilk and stored it with an ice pack in the JJ Cole
Essentials Travel Podset. |

| Juss Tin Case Nursing Cover |
Babies need to be fed often-and not always at the most convenient times! In airports and at your destination, comfort for a nursing mom and baby is essential. Even infants pick up on tension and if you are uncomfortable, your baby feels it. And let's be honest - there are times when not everyone around you is comfortable with breastfeeding and this can make a mother even more uncomfortable.
This nursing cover is comfortable, full-covering, unique, and allows your baby to breathe with an opening at the top.
Inventor Julie Holland is a mom who saw a need - and invented a nursing cover that folds up neatly and discreetly. But my favorite part of this nursing cover is that it has an arch at the top so you are able to look down and see your infant. The opening allows the baby to breath easily and the cover attaches around your neck so you don't have to worry about it falling off.
A pouch holds the burp cloth and a pacifier and the cover itself is large enough to use as a blanket if needed.
Julie gives moms a large selection of fabric to choose from - and the rare opportunity to actually work with the inventor - she allows you to send her the fabric if you want a custom cover made! Regular pricing applies.

| JJ Cole Essentials Travel Pod Set |
I first noticed this product because of its smooth exterior - you
know the kind that you have to touch because it looks so silky
smooth?
The second thing I noticed about it was the very cute little
pacifier holder in the incredibly convenient pouch.
The blue and brown colors were nice to look at - yet, not overwhelming.
The insulated beverage holder was a perfect fit for the fabulous
Adiri Bottle. You know - the "breast bottle".
And last but not least - the insulated bag that I suppose is meant
for diapers - however, we used it as an insulated bag with an ice pack
and frozen breast milk for my 3 month old nephew.
This really was a great foundation for traveling with an infant.
I guess they would be considered accessories - however, I consider
them part of the foundation. Infants younger than 3 months
basically sleep, eat, poop and cry and then repeat sequence.
So that means that milk, something comforting, and diapers are essential
when traveling with a baby.
The breast milk stayed cool, the bottle was always nearby with the
great use of hook and loop. The pacifier stayed clean and oh so
handy as it also was attached to the backpack.
The Travel Pod didn't take up any extra room in the carry-on bag
since it attached to the outside of it.
This is a great product - a fabulous shower gift - and a
must have for anyone traveling with an infant! |

| Similac Advanced Infant Formula With Iron Powder Packs |
Similac Single Serving Formula packs are great for the traveling family. No need to pre-mix,
these single serving packets. Each packet makes a 4 fl. oz serving of Similac Advanced. Easy
to open and pour, great for in flight!
I loved using these when my son was an infant. He was a breastfed baby, but for those times that
we were on the go or someone else was babysitting, this was my favorite option.
To save money, purchase them in a case and you are good to go! |

 |
| Raz-Berry Teether |
This Raz-Berry Teether looks so comforting that I am tempted to gnaw on it myself!
For those teething babies (even the ones who don't take pacifiers) this is soothing and great for
massaging those gums. Even though it has the shape of a pacifier, it really is more of a "teething
toy" as babies tend to gum it and chew on it rather than suck on it as a pacifier.
For extra relief, try putting it in the fridge for a bit before giving it to baby, or
if on a plane put it on a cup of ice to cool it. Teething can happen when you least expect it,
and at 37,000 feet can be miserable for baby, you and all those other passengers around!
Prepare for the possibility of teething with products like this, or a teething ring, or a gel such as
Hylands for a bit of soothing relief. |

| Lil Topper Bottle Caps |

| Sprout Spout |
The Sprout Spout 2 Pack turns any 16 oz (or larger) plastic juice bottle into a sippy cup. The
unique one piece top prevents spills or leaks even when turned upside down but because it's vented it
allows an even flow of fluid for your child. Use it anytime you're on the go.
Don't be afraid to dilute the juice in a bottle. My son drinks very diluted juice and doesn't know
the difference. Care for your child and protect them from excess sugar. (Plus the juice will last
longer and save you money!)

Great for kids who want to be independent but still need the protection of the “sippy cup” concept. Many designs to choose from, for kids and adults too!

| Sassy Baby Less Mess Toddler Spoons |
| These spoons are amazing. Although it appears as though food would drop right through the little
holes, it actually has the opposite effect! My son dropped a lot less food than when using regular
spoons and the curved handle was great for his chubby little hands and developing coordination. Less
spills for those independent little ones is great- especially when traveling! However, do not
overlook the need for the long sleeved bib - which is sure to
protect those traveling clothes!

| Stay Put Cutlery |
| Stay-Put Cutlery is a revolutionary new concept in cutlery that helps children develop the essential skills they need to feed themselves and without the worry of them falling on the floor.Recommended for children 9-24 months, the unique design helps accelerate feeding skills. Made of soft durable plastic with slightly up turned tips to help keep food secure, the easy to grip contoured handles allow infants to grasp with ease. The attached spiral cord develops hand to mouth coordination as the uncoiling action directs the food to mouth with ease and retracts as more food is picked up. This recoiling action helps children discover the reflexes required when eating. Suction pads adhere to surfaces like high chair trays so the utensils 'stay put' and don't fall on the floor. This means less mess for parents.

These disposable place mats came in handy when we were traveling with a messy toddler. The

| Trunki Travel Luggage for Kids |
This little rolling carry-on is a multi-function asset. Accompanying us on our trip to Europe, the Trunki held everything our son needed for flight, was
great for him to pull, and was noticeably light when slung over my shoulder. It even fit under the airplane seat when turned on its side.
But what is so special about the Trunki? Kids can ride on it!
As we all know, those little legs get tired when walking through the airport. The Trunki doubles as "in airport transportation" for kids.
The Trunki has a handle on top for those times when you have to grab and go. It also has a pocket inside as well as straps to secure items inside. My son uses the attached key to lock and unlock his own suitcase (prevents unexpected openings).
I was pleasantly surprised at the durability of the Trunki. My son received lots of smiles from passing adults and envious looks from other kids who wanted
one for themselves!
On our cruise ship, the Trunki became a source of entertainment. The long carpeted hallways were a great "road" for the Trunki to travel on -providing
endless entertainment for a toddler.
The Trunki rides smooth and fast - sometimes too fast! Adult supervision is definitely required to keep little ones on track.
A few words of caution about using the Trunki:
The wheels do not allow quick turns. In airports and cruise ship inner hallways, this is not an issue. However, keep this in mind to avoid tipping over
your little one if pulling him/her around corners!
I allowed my son only to use the Trunki in wide open areas so he did not get lost in the crowd or run into other people.
Save Trunki for travel and use at the destination. Kids are more likely to get excited about something if it is not available on a daily basis.

| Maxxum Backpack
From Swiss Gear |
This sturdy stand alone backpack made by Swiss Gear (the makers of the Swiss Army Knife) has 4 major pockets and a total of 13 pockets, a great variety of pla ces to store the necessities for flight.
I travel with a laptop as well as a toddler, and this bag allows me to protect my computer as well as carry diapers, toys, food and drink on board. The padded shoulder straps are amazing for comfort and the small pocket at the top allows me to quickly reach my cell phone, wallet, and "surprise" toy if needed.
Since my camera is in action on all flights and airports, the side pocket is great for easy access. There is also a place for headphones of iPods/iTunes/MP3 players so that the electronic item can be stored safely inside the bag, with the convenience of the headphone outlet for listening.
What also attracted me to this bag was the open pocket on the front, which I place our ziplock bags for security and the small essential pack used when we first sit down on the plane.

Swany Walkin'Bag 20" Pocketbag |
The Swany Walkin'Bag may appear to be a product only for those
who have a physical ailment or are elderly. I reviewed the product
for my senior seminars on this last flight with my son and my
3 month old nephew.
I was very surprised to discover that it was a bonus for me to
be traveling with the Swany 20" Pocketbag suitcase. Rolling
smoothly along, I barely had to touch this bag to get it to move.
With 4 wheels and a solidly built base, this suitcase practically
walked itself! Invented by a polio survivor who found dragging
a piece of luggage to be difficult - this bag offers rolling
pleasure to travelers of all ages!
I can see how this bag would be wonderful if you suffered from a bad
knee or hip or even a bad shoulder. Advertised to be 1/6th
easier to roll than a regular bag which is "dragged" along, the contoured
handle allows one to use it as a cane and lean heavily on it.
Approved for up to 300lbs. of down force on the handle, this bag is like having
an assistant along who guides you and is there for you to lean on!
The bag can easily be turned on it's side for those times that rolling
bags are not wanted (like when storing the bag on the shuttle bus
storage area and the driver takes the corners wildy)
It also is approved for use as a chair when needed! Up to 200lbs.
This bag has deep insides and utilizes normally wasted space by
providing zippered mesh pockets in the hollows opposite the handle
grooves inside the bag.
Both bags are well made. So after
my actual flight review, I have chosen to place both bags on
my site for those traveling with special needs, mature age,
physical ailments, as well as with kids. Basically if you
want a bag that feels like a travel companion instead of a
heavy brick you drag along- try the Swany Walkin Bag! |

| Swiss Gear Patriot Bag |
This smooth rolling carry on bag looks more business than baby, but the 4 large pockets allow the business traveler to carry a laptop and baby's supplies for carry on.
The largest compartment stores needed items such as the first aid kit, an extra pair of clothes, and diapers and wipes, while the middle compartment holds a laptop (with a separate removable laptop bag included).
The front large pocket is great for storing medical records, books, and toys and the front smaller pocket will keep all travel documentation in order as well as miscellaneous items.
The extra long handle which extends to your desired length folds away into another zippered compartment, and the bag fits nicely into the overhead compartment. For smaller planes, remove the laptop bag to make the bag smaller.
I have found that this bag is nice by itself for shorter flights and a great combination to the Maxxum backpack for those longer flights where more supplies are needed. |

| Baby Silk Wipes |
|
You trust your pediatrician right? If you don't you should change pediatricians! There is something special about these physicians who have chosen to work with children. They have a tough job - they deal with sick kids and worried-sick parents. They deal with rashes and shots and sleep-deprived nervous-wreck moms. A pediatrician must have patience to properly care for patients (and the parents)!
Appropriately named, MD Moms was formed by two pediatricians - who are also caring moms. Not only are they moms and MDs, they have taken this combination to the next level and with their talents, became entrepreneurs.
Listening to what parents wanted, knowing what babies needed, they took their knowledge and combined it with their experience and parent feedback. The result is a baby friendly, oh so silky, convenient, product line!
The cleansing wipes are a great addition to their baby-friendly product line. Realizing that parents often use wipes for multi-purpose "both set of cheeks" as they say, the wipes are gentle, all-over clean cleansing towelettes. They work for baby's needs (top to bottom) as well as parent's needs (the wipes are great for makeup removal)!
The wipes contain a blend of marine silk, vitamins E and B5, certified organic aloe and comfrey - hello moisturizers! (and they provide antioxidant benefits)
Squeaky clean and silky soft - and best of all? Multi-functional! This is a travelers wipe.

Never underestimate the importance of a small plastic bag! I place a bag into the seat pocket on airplanes, so we have a trash bag nearby for the entire flight.

| Chewable Teething Jewels |
Every now and then I come across inventors that just "get it". Such is the case with the inventors of "Chewable Jewels". Three beautiful, smart, and incredibly talented women entrepreneurs noticed that babies love to gnaw on jewelry. A dentist and mother, Dr. Helen Bloom Smith along with her sister, Dr. Joy Bloom Wright and Mary Wheeler Settlemier recognized the opportunity to provide babies with a safe alternative to toxic jewelry. They formed the company Dr. Bloom, Inc. to launch their product "Chewable Jewels".
BPA, PVC, Phthalate, Latex, and Lead free - this product is the perfect accessory for traveling moms and grandmas. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the incredible women behind this teething product at the ABC Kids Show in Las Vegas this past week. Not only is it a family run company but they are all moms and passionate about providing infants and children with safe products.
This bracelet is fun to wear, practical, stylish, and best of all, my teething nephew enjoys chewing on it! One less thing to pack - and one more thing to be thankful for in flight when the drool starts dropping and the cheeks turn red!

IcyBag |
This little insulated bag was invented when the hot sun melted a bride's
makeup and she decided to design a bag that would keep her makeup
cool. However, for my flight I chose to use the IcyBag for
storing my brother-in-law's insulin and my son's Colby Jack
individually wrapped cheese. I placed the 3 ounce gel pack
in the freezer the day before we traveled and wrote a note to myself
to remember it the day we left.
The little gel pack was frozen solid -however, I did still remove it
for security (since it is a gel) and placed it in the bin with the medical supplies
I was also declaring.
The cheese snack was a great addition to the crackers and a nice
cold surprise for my son mid-flight. It also was good for my breastfeeding
sister when she needed a snack.
I was surprised when I was able to fit an entire sandwhich inside the bag
without squishing it. The bag is larger than it appears yet
very convenient to travel with as it fits into a diaper bag or purse and can be
attached to a backpack or suitcase with the two different types of hooks on the bag.
I prefer to use this over some of the other bags I have used in the
past to keep medication cool. No mess with this bag as the closed gel packet is inserted
into a thin fabric cover and is tethered conveniently in the middle of the bag.
The gel pack is reported to last 3 times as long as ice.
Like many products that are valuable for travel, this bag's many uses make it a necessity for
life away from home-whether in the car or on an airplane.
From preventing makeup and lotions from melting or from getting
piping hot- to keeping snacks or medication cold, this make-up size, water-resistant
bag may surprise you how handy it is for your traveling needs. |

Whether just completing potty training or in the midst of it, reverting back to pull-ups for a flight can be a “lifesaver” for a child (and parent!). The pillow/blanket combo is kept inside where you know it is clean! Once unzipped, the inside of the bag reveals a soft pillowcase. The inflatable pillow is easily blown up (my 3 year old was happy to do this) and the soft gray blanket is a thin, but warm blanket great for sleeping on those air conditioned planes!
And the best part of the blanket is that it is long enough to cover the feet, and wide enough to cover two airplane seats! Finally- no need to fight for the blanket.
When the pillow was completely inflated, it was rather hard and inflexible. Just let a bit of air out and you have a flexible pillow, covered by a soft pillow case. The great feature about this product is that the pillow case is stored inside and zipped closed - and clean! The lining is water resistant and that means that your blanket and pillow case will remain dry.
My son and I both slept comfortably on our late night flight from Minneapolis. We arrived late at night and it was chilly outside. I placed the cozy, soft blanket over my son's lap in the car and he slept all the way home. This is a great multi-functional product- great for travel AND at your destination.
Review #2:
This is a product that becomes more valuable to me everytime I travel.
On this last trip, I decided to utilize the zippered bag to store
vital items needed while in flight. I placed the 1 lb. CARES
harness, the Ear Popper, and our sage green PlaneSheets in the bag.
I also added a couple pens, some hand wipes, and a thin miniature
book for my son's entertainment.
I then placed the zippered, water resistant red bag inside my
son's Trunki alongside his "entertainment bag". So, the pillow/blanket
combination now held 7 items (with room for more) and was
conveniently zipped away and transported onto the plane inside
Trunki.
This bag covers many needs. My son had a great time inflating
the pillow and then relaxed against the soft material, eventually
falling asleep. Since it was warm on the plane, I rolled the
blanket up and used it as additional support for his body. I eventually
used the blanket to cover him as the air got cooler.
PlaneComfort is my new essentials bag for all travel. With so many
uses and such convenient features - why would you leave home
without it?

Plane Sheets |
I originally was interested in recommending these seat covers for sick children that are flying to children's hospitals, sick kids camps, or for the much needed family vacation. Many times a suppressed immune system necessitates extra steps - and we all know that flying exposes us to "international germs". I also liked these covers for people who have environmental and food allergies.
I reviewed both the disposable and the washable airplane seat covers on this last flight. That's when I realized - even though I had thought of this cover for sick kids, it was calming to me to see my child settle into his seat and be surrounded by a seat cover that I knew was "ours". The cover I reviewed was a pleasant sage color, but there are many different colors and patterns available to choose from - camouflage, zebra, and even hot pink - the list goes on to suit your taste. There is also a chenille material for an ultra soft seat. An added bonus is the monogramming option for the Elizabeth Collection solids.
My son sat in the seat with the washable sage cover and I sat in the one with the disposable blue cover. His seat was more colorful, softer and seemed to stay in place easier.
However, I think for those trips where you don't want to haul a cover around, the disposable option is great. The disposable covers come in a pack of two and the washable cover has its very own zipped case for keeping your cover clean and easy to transport.
For those who are traveling with compromised immune systems or allergies, or anyone who wants protection from soiled seats, PlaneSheets not only personalizes your seat, but protects from any "personalization" done by the massive amounts of passengers who sat in that seat before you!

Tray Bien |
Finally a place for all your belongings! Family travelers, business travelers, senior travelers, special needs travelers, unaccompanied minors - anyone that doesn't want to search for or leave their belongings in those disgusting, sometimes broken airplane seat pockets - the TrayBien is for you!
With compartments for everything, simply place the TrayBien over the tray table in front of you, and relax knowing all your stuff is right at your fingertips.
The TrayBien covers the entire tray, front and back - which means that you are not placing food and beverages on the germ filled surface, but instead on your own TrayBien!
The TrayBien also has a small elastic hook and Velcro to secure your belongings so nothing falls out when the tray table is opened. |

| Miracle Blanket for Infants |
This blanket was definitely a life saver for me as a new mom. When you think about how tight and snug a baby is inside
the womb right at the end of pregnancy, it is squished in there with not much room to move! Once the baby is born, they can
get spooked or feel like they are free falling when not wrapped tightly. I did not believe it would really make that much
difference to use the Miracle Blanket than other swaddling blankets - but it was amazing and so much easier to get a tight
swaddle.
I had to add this to recommended products just because it was one of my favorites for a newborn! The inventor is a dad himself
and was very nice in his emails. He understood what having a newborn was like - he designed a user friendly quality product! |

| Road ID |
|
Whether you're traveling with kids or without, having identification is essential! Be a smart traveler and wear your identification. In case of emergencies, especially medical emergencies, seconds can be the difference between life and death. Road ID was invented after a warning from a father and a near accident. In 1999, Edward Wimmer was training for his first marathon. Edward's concerned father suggested that he carry his ID with him on his many training runs. His father wanted a way to be notified in case of an accident or emergency. Edward took his father's suggestion seriously after he found himself run off the road and into a ditch after a close call with a pickup truck.
After this instance, Edward realized that had he been hit by the truck he would have been identified merely as a "john doe." His family would not be notified and his medical records would not be available to the hospital. How much precious time would be lost due to the lack of identification? Edward and his father, Mike Wimmer, decided to make a difference for outdoor enthusiasts, and possibly save lives by inventing the Road ID.
What a great invention! And what a valuable invention for travelers! Road ID offers laser engraved ID tags for the wrist, ankle, or shoe. The IDs come standard with a 3M relfective strip to enhance your visibility in the dark. The newest version, The Road ID Interactive, even allows you to build a fully updateable, secure Emergency Response Profile that is available to first repsonders via telephone and internet.
Be prepared for emergencies with Road ID. Order yours today! |

| Ziplock Bags |
| So many uses – I always throw extra in for use during our trip. Make them a bit more fun by writing or drawing on them. I like the zipper closure because they are easy enough for toddlers to open and close. (also use these for bringing liquids under 3 oz. through security) |
